THESE PHOTOGRAPHS WERE MADE over the course of one year using a Noblex swinglens camera. The lens captures about 135 degrees side-to-side. Because of the wide angle, many objects --especially those with straight lines-- appear distorted even though the camera projects an exact interpretation of what it sees. I love this distortion, and the way small spaces seem to expand. Like the streaker series, this project is largely a reaction to the technology available.
Unfortunately the camera is unreliable and was in and out of the repair shop for most of the next year, but it seems to be working now.
